Los Angeles Product Liability Lawyer News: Toy Helicopters Recalled

While the idea of a toy helicopter bursting into flames might seem like a “cool” idea to many boys, the UJ Trading and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have recalled Danbar Knight Hawk Toy Helicopters for fire hazards.

The defective product recall was issued after it was discovered that the battery housing under the helicopter canopy can overheat while the toy is charging, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

Product Liability Negligence?

According to a CPSC press release: “This recall involves Danbar Toys Knight Hawk remote control helicopters. The helicopter can be identified by model number 006047 marked on the back of the controller and the Knight Hawk logo on the front of the controller. The body of the helicopter also contains the markings: ‘AH-64’ and ‘helicopter.’”

Consumers are advised to contact UJ Trading for a full refund of the product’s price. UJ Trading will provide consumers with a postage paid label to return the recalled product. Consumers can contact UJ Trading at (800) 536-2691 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit their website at UJToys.com.
