If you’re a regular viewer of YouTube.com, you may have heard of the “fountain lady.” A viral video of her slip and fall accident into a fountain inside a mall has been an Internet sensation with more than a million views on YouTube and many more on Facebook and Twitter. In the video, Cathy Cruz Marrero was walking and texting inside a mall when she fell into the mall fountain.
Marrero told ABC News that after the accident “nobody called … ‘Are you ok? It shows in the video nobody went to my aid.” Her husband, Walter, said security officials should have helped her. “They should have responded to that immediately; they didn’t know if she got hurt.” Cathy Marrero added. “It could have been anybody’s mother. It could have been a senior citizen falling … and would they have gotten the same treatment as I did?”

From there things got worse. It appears that security guards at the mall leaked the video onto YouTube.com. In fact, on the raw video, voices can be heard discussing her fall: “Oh, my God, play it back, play it back.” At one point the tape is played back and viewed from a different camera. Marrero believes the voices are mall security employees. Marrero told ABC news that she has an attorney and is considering legal action.
