A San Bernardino car accident recently took the life of Gary Talbott, 68, who was involved in a head-on collision. According to police, the fatal car accident happened on Hesperia Road on the morning of January 10, 2011. Talbott was killed when another driver crashed into his car, just north of Seneca Road. The condition of the other driver is not known at this time.
The other driver, a 22-year-old, lost control of his 1998 Honda Accord and swerved into oncoming traffic, slamming into Talbott’s car, San Bernardino County sheriff’s officials say. The 22-year-old lost control of his car, then over-corrected and crossed into the northbound lanes. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of broken bones and other injuries.

A medical helicopter crew flew Talbott to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton where he died about 90 minutes after the accident. Both of the drivers, who were alone in their vehicles, had to be extricated from the wreckage. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials are still investigating the exact cause of the crash, but it would appear this is a wrongful death case.
