A strange fatal truck accident left one man dead and shut down Interstate 5 in the Palm City area of San Diego, California. A witness of the truck accident, says that a blue sedan, with a Louisiana license plate, was in the fast lane when it stopped, and backed across four lanes of the freeway.
It appeared that the driver of the blue sedan overshot the exit. The driver of an SUV swerved to avoid the blue sedan, but a cement truck collided with it. The driver of the blue sedan, identified as a man in his 20s, was killed. The cement truck landed on its side, the driver of the truck wasn’t injured, but cement spilled onto Interstate 5.
Northbound I-5 lanes were shut down from Coronado Avenue to Palm Avenue for several hours. HazMat was called over concerns of diesel leaking from the cement truck, but that turned out not to be the case.
