In Deadwood, South Dakota, country singer Wynonna Judd’s husband was recently injured in a motorcycle accident.
Judd and her husband, Michael “Cactus” Moser, were riding motorcycles north on U.S. Highway 16 on Saturday when Moser collided with a car.
Moser was airlifted to Rapid City Regional Hospital, causing Judd to postpone her upcoming concerts in Canada.
The country singer and her 55-year-old hubby were riding their bikes together before her scheduled concert in Deadwood, South Dakota, when Moser collided with an oncoming vehicle.
Judd was riding ahead of her husband and managed to avoid the motorcycle crash, according to the Washington Post.
Moser, who has been married to Wynonna Judd for only two months, ended up losing his leg in the motorcycle accident. A rep for Judd confirmed to E! News that Moser’s left leg was severed in the motorcycle accident and doctors in Rapid City, South Dakota, decided to amputate it above the knee.
Wynonna’s rep said in a statement: “He has also undergone surgery to his hand. Judd and Moser appreciate all of the quick medical and police responders as well as the hospital staff and well-wishes from family, friends and fans.”
Moser, who in addition to being Judd’s longtime leading man is also her drummer, popped the question on Christmas Eve and they tied the knot June 10. This is the singer’s third marriage.
While we don’t know the details of this horrific motorcycle accident, hopefully Michael Moser has contacted motorcycle accident attorney. If the other driver was at fault, then Moser is entitled to compensation for the loss of his leg, medical bills, physical therapy, time lost from work, pain and suffering, and any other costs that occur from this motorcycle accident.
This incident has proven that anyone can be a victim of a motorcycle accident and suffer serious injuries.
