Actress Amanda Bynes’ driver’s license was suspended after she was charged with two hit-and-run car incidentsearlier this month. In addition to the hit-and-run charges, the actress is also facing a court trial on a charge of driving under the influence.
Since her driver’s license was suspended on Aug. 25, Bynes reportedly has been spotted driving on numerous occasions.
Police have not yet determined whether to file new charges against TV actress Amanda Bynes, who was cited on Sunday morning for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
She was pulled over Sept. 9 by Los Angeles police after officers said they saw her driving without her headlights on. Amazingly, police officers did not check her driver’s license at the time and did not cite her.
Earlier this year, on April 6th, the 26-year-old actress was arrested about 3 a.m. after authorities said she was involved in avehicle incident when her black BMW struck the rear corner of a sheriff’s vehicle. She was charged with driving under the influence after she refused a Breathalyzer or blood-alcohol test.
August 4th a motorist told police that a car driven by Bynes rear-ended and damaged her Toyota. The driver said Bynes stopped only briefly and apparently decided there was no damage and drove off.
Police said Bynes failed to provide insurance information or allow authorities to be called before she left. Bynes was also involved in a vehicle hit-and-run incident on April 10 according to authorities.
The latest vehicle incident occurred Sunday. Bob Hope Airport police spokesman Victor Gill said Bynes was pulled over at 8:20 a.m. She was not detained and no details were available about why officers made the traffic stop.
The Burbank City Attorney’s office said it has not yet received the case.
Why is Bynes getting a free pass while driving with a suspended license? Even Lindsay Lohan, who has had her own troubles with the law, is reportedly flabbergasted.
Hopefully, Bynes’ alleged victims have spoken to an attorney and have had their rights protected. They are entitled to compensation for damages that Bynes reportedly caused to their vehicles and/or their bodies.
